RESEARCH & cONSERVATION

As a conservation scientist, I am interested in how our environment shapes wildlife and human behaviour, and how understanding these behaviours can help us coexist. I manage, and collaborate on, a range of provincial, inter-provincial, and international applied wildlife conservation projects. I'm invested in human-wildlife coexistence and reducing the gender gap at high-level positions of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). I value engagement from all sectors, including local communities, to improve our knowledge and develop creative approaches towards successful coexistence with wildlife. I am especially interested in non-invasive & multi-species approaches to improve our ability to coexist with wildlife

CARIBOU

I previously worked as a Research Biologist with the Caribou Program at fRI Research (https://friresearch.ca). I played an active role in leading projects aimed at informing the recovery of woodland caribou in Alberta, Canada

SLOTH BEAR

An exciting project focused on identifying environmental characteristics that favor sloth bears over Asiatic black bears, and evaluate how this information could be helpful to the conservation of these species.
